    川普打破一九七九年以來美台領袖不對話成規，昨天與蔡總統進行越洋通話，對於相關細節，今天訪問大紐約僑界的高碩泰說，總統府及政府相關部門已有充分說明，他沒有進一步說明。

    蕭貴源還說，川普是有智慧的生意人，台灣經濟依賴出口，兩人通話創造美台友好一面，勢必有助未來雙方關係發展及促進人民友誼。他表示，美國是中華民國最強而有力的盟邦，川普就任前即打造了深厚友誼，相信為台美未來發展及合作奠定基石。
